Di Natale Compares Osimhen To Italy’s World Cup Winner

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Former Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale believes Napoli star Victor Osimhen is ‘similar’ to 2006 Italy World Cup winner Vincenzo Iaquinta for ‘the way he attacks the space.’

Di Natale’s former club will host Napoli at the Dacia Arena on Thursday. A draw will be enough for the Partenopei to win their first Serie A title in 33 years.

It’s a match that means so much to Di Natale, who was born in Naples and played for many years at Udinese with Luciano Spalletti as one of his coaches in Friuli.

“I remember the Serie A title in 1987; I was going to the stadium with my brother. I hope Napoli will win it as quickly as possible, but unfortunately, I won’t be able to go to Udine on Thursday,” the ex-Azzurri star told Gazzetta.

“Before working together at Udine, Spalletti was my coach at Empoli, where he gave me my Serie B debut. I owe so much to him and Stefano Domenichini, who is like a second father to me,” he continued.

Spalletti is professional and a hard worker, he’s done well everywhere. Tactically, he is a phenomenon, he leaves nothing to chance. He cares so much about those who are not playing regularly. Everything he does aims to build a solid group. And apparently, he did it in Naples.

“It is not easy to win in my city, but he is doing it also thanks to Aurelio De Laurentiis, who is proving to be a great president. They’ve done something extraordinary together.”

Osimhen is Serie A’s leading scorer with 21 goals in 26 league matches and Di Natale compared the Napoli star to one of his former teammates at Udinese.

“I like Osimhen so much for the way he attacks the space,” argued Di Natale.

“He is a complete striker. Thinking about the past, he reminds me of Vincenzo Iaquinta for the way he attacks the space. Osimhen is always a tricky opponent.”

Iaquinta, a former Udinese and Juventus striker, scored 89 goals in 269 Serie A matches and was part of the Italy squad that won the World Cup in 2006. He scored a goal in the Azzurri’s debut of that edition, a 2-0 win over Ghana.
