Watford and Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Dennis continued in his superlative goalscoring form after bagging his sixth Premier League goal of the season in Watford’s 1-2 loss to Chelsea on Wednesday.

The striker has now scored three goals in his last three Premier League appearances for th Hornets.

Recall that the Nigerian international was a doubt for the Chelsea game having picked up a knock in his Watford 4-2 loss to Leicester City at the weekend.

After a lengthy delay following a medical emergency at the Vicarage Road, Mason Mount kicked the game into action when he opened the scoring on 28 minutes.

Kai Havertz received the ball in the penalty box and slid a short pass to Mount who side-footed into the bottom corner.

Watford hit back when Emmanuel Dennis equalised on 42 minutes, striking through the legs of defender Antonio Rudiger and finding the bottom corner to score his sixth goal of the season.

Blues winger, Hakim Ziyech scored a second half winner to help Chelsea claim a 2-1 win against the hosts, Watford, after he struck home an inviting low cross from Mount.

Emmanuel Dennis saw 90th minutes of action alongside his country man Williams Troost Ekong who had a decent outing on the night for Watford.

Watford’s next date will be at home to Manchester City as the battle for the relegation survival gets interesting.
