La Liga team Getafe has reported Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham to the league after an alleged verbal incident involving Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood.
The incident took place during a league match between Real Madrid and Getafe, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Real Madrid.
The incident occurred near the touchline when Bellingham, a former Borussia Dortmund star, tackled Greenwood, who is currently on loan at Getafe from Manchester United.
After the challenge, Bellingham and Greenwood exchanged words, although no audio of their conversation was captured.
Following the match, Getafe approached the La Liga delegate and requested that Bellingham’s alleged comment be included in the referee’s official match report.
The allegation against Bellingham has not been proven, but if an investigation were to find him guilty, he could face severe consequences.
Greenwood, who joined Getafe on loan from Manchester United this season, has had a promising start in Spain, scoring six goals in 21 appearances for the team.
It is worth noting that Greenwood faced legal issues in October 2022 when he was arrested and charged with various offenses, including attempted rape.
However, these charges were later dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service.
While the investigation into the alleged incident involving Bellingham and Greenwood is ongoing, it is essential to await the official findings before drawing any conclusions.
Both players will continue their respective careers, with Greenwood expected to leave Getafe permanently in the future.
