Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed concerns over the availability of Darwin Nunez for their upcoming match against Arsenal.

The game holds significant importance as Liverpool aims to extend their lead in the Premier League title race to eight points.

Nunez, who set a Premier League record by hitting the woodwork four times in their recent victory against Chelsea, has been a key player for Liverpool this season with 11 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

However, he is now facing a foot problem that puts his participation in doubt.

Klopp revealed in a pre-match press conference that Nunez experienced significant pain after the last game and had to leave the stadium wearing a non-football boot due to swelling.

While x-rays showed no fractures, the manager remains uncertain if Nunez will be able to wear a football boot for the upcoming match.

Liverpool is already dealing with the absence of Mohamed Salah, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury.

However, Diogo Jota has stepped up in Salah’s absence, scoring four goals in his last four games and contributing to Liverpool’s success this season.

Klopp praised Jota’s versatility and described him as a “complete package” who can play in all three positions up front.

Despite their lead in the title race, Klopp remains cautious of the threat posed by Manchester City, who are just five points behind with a game in hand.

He emphasized the need for Liverpool to continue winning games to stay competitive.

Klopp also acknowledged the significance of the upcoming match against Arsenal, as a victory could potentially deal a severe blow to the Gunners’ hopes of winning their first league title in 20 years.
