Barcelona is reportedly considering ending their long-standing partnership with Nike and exploring alternative options for kit sponsorship.

Nike has been supplying kits to the Catalan giants since 1998, and their current deal is set to run until June 2028.

However, recent reports suggest that Barcelona is determined to move on from Nike and is considering various alternatives.

Barcelona’s current deal with Nike brings in £73m per season.

Despite the financial benefits, the club is keen to explore other possibilities.

Puma has emerged as a potential replacement, offering a higher sum of £85m per year.

However, Barcelona is also contemplating a groundbreaking move of creating their own brand to manufacture their kit.

Club president Joan Laporta is said to be in favor of this decision, which would involve partnering with a “large multinational” to produce and distribute the shirts.

Laporta expressed his concerns about the current situation, stating that the club believes Nike has breached the contract.

He also mentioned that the market is willing to pay double what Nike offers.

Barcelona is currently engaged in discussions with Nike, but Laporta has indicated that the club is open to finding the best solution.

The three options on the table are to continue with Nike, accept a better offer from the market, or establish their own brand through Barca Licensing.
