Aubameyang could throw you under the bus - Graham Potter cautioned

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has been warned by former Premier League boss Neil Warnock that he should be cautious of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if the striker becomes unhappy at Stamford Bridge.

The warning comes after Aubameyang was excluded from the Blues’ squad for their FA Cup match against Manchester City on Sunday and his back injury earlier this week.

Warnock explained that players such as Aubameyang look out for themselves first, rather than take any blame on themselves, leading to a possible situation where they may throw their manager under the bus.

He added that this is similar to what happened with Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United in pre-season and references how Mikel Arteta dealt with Aubameyang’s fallout at Arsenal last year by making an example out of him.

Despite some criticism from fans, Potter remains confident in being able to turn things around at Chelsea, insisting he needs time in order to make his mark – as Pep Guardiola noted earlier since even working with Lionel Messi did not require two seasons due to his ability.
