Newcastle United is reportedly competing with Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Jesper Lindstrom from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Newcastle has already made three senior signings during the current transfer window, including midfielder Sandro Tonali and winger Harvey Barnes.
However, manager Eddie Howe is looking to further strengthen his midfield ranks and has targeted Lindstrom.
Frankfurt is willing to sell the 23-year-old, but only for the right price.
Newcastle faces competition from Juventus, who have identified Lindstrom as a priority signing.
However, Juventus needs to sell players before they can meet Lindstrom’s price tag.
If Lindstrom joins Newcastle, he will face tough competition for a starting spot but will have plenty of opportunities to impress, especially with Newcastle featuring in the Champions League.
