Paul Onuachu netted his fourteenth league goal in Club Brugge’s dominant display against Standard Liege on Sunday.

The 27-year old Super Eagles forward had netted earlier in the game but had his goal chalked off by the VAR.

After his goal was ruled out, Theo Bongonda put the hosts ahead with a minute left in the first half.

Onuachu would double Genk’s lead in the fifty-third minute after failing to score in their last league game which they lost on Wednesday.

It was Onuachu’s 14th goal in 22 league appearances and his 16th in all competitions for Genk so far this season.

Paul Onuachu was replaced in the eighty-eighth minute by Ghanaian striker, John Paintsil who once again failed to find the back of the net.

Sunday’s win has moved to the eighth place with thirty-eight points in the 18-team league table.
