2022 WCQ: 21 Players Now In Super Eagles Camp; Osimhen, Ighalo Still Expected

More players have arrived the Super Eagles camp in Tangier, Morocco ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde,

The likes of of Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo, Kenneth Omeruo, Chidozie Awaziem,  Samuel Chukwueze and others arrived Tangier on Tuesday morning to increase the number of players in camp to 21.

10 out of 24 invited players arrived the team’s camp on Monday. Among the early arrivals are; Daniel Akpeyi, Wilfred Ndidi Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke.

The trio of Victor Osimhen, Odion Ighalo and John Noble, a late replacement for Francis Uzoho are expected to join their teammates in camp on Tuesday  (today).

The Super Eagles will hold their first training session ahead of the qualifiers on Tuesday evening.

The three-time African champions will face the Lone Star of Liberia  in Tangier, on Saturday and then host the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in  their final group game in the qualifiers at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos next week Tuesday.

The three-time African champions top Group C with nine points from four matches.

Maduka Okoye, Daniel Akpeyi, Paul Onuachu, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Kevin Akpoguma, Wilfred Ndidi, Jamilu Collins, Alex Iwobi, Chidera Ejuke, Frank Onyeka, Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa, Chidozie Awaziem, Samuel Chukwueze, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Zaidu Sanusi, Shehu Abdullahi, Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo.
