Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, has recently spoken out about the relentless bullying he continues to face from Nigerians over a missed goal that occurred 13 to 14 years ago.

The incident took place during a World Cup game between Nigeria and South Korea on June 22, 2010.

Despite scoring from a penalty later in the match, Aiyegbeni’s missed tap-in when Nigeria was trailing 2-1 has remained etched in the memories of football fanatics.

In a recent interview shared on social media platform X, Aiyegbeni expressed his frustration at still receiving messages from angry fans demanding an explanation for his miss.

He recounted one message where a fan even asked him to explain the miss to his daughter, mentioning her by name.

Aiyegbeni shared his disbelief that people still dwell on that particular moment after so many years.

The former striker also highlighted his contributions to the Nigerian national team that often go unnoticed.

He mentioned scoring two crucial goals in Sudan, helping Nigeria qualify for the Korea-Japan 2002 World Cup.

Despite his efforts, Aiyegbeni was dropped from the final squad, a fact that is rarely acknowledged by fans who only focus on the missed goal.
