The action continued across Europe in the World Cup qualifiers as hostility ensues across various match venues.

It was goals galore in the European regions as Serbia and Spain booked their World Cup place in exemplary fashion.

While Germany continues their terrific form with convincing win away from home at Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s Armenia.

UEFA Qualification  1st Round: Group A

Luxembourg 0-3 Republic of Ireland

The Republic of Ireland defeated Luxembourg  0-3 away from home.

Their goals all came in the second half through Shane Duffy, Chiedozie Ogbene and Callum Robinson.

These goals were scored in the 67th, 75th and 88th minutes of the game respectively to the delight of the visitors.

Portugal 1-2 Serbia

The Portuguese side lost 1-2 to a Serbia side inspired by Ajax playmaker Dusan Tadic. Midfielder Renato Santos gave the home side the early lead in 2 minutes.

However, Dusan Tadic equalized 3minutes after the hour mark following a goalkeeping error from the Portuguese shot-stopper.

Alexander Mitrovic sealed the win late on to book a place in Qatar 2002 for Serbia thus leaving Portugal as the highest-ranked side involved in the play-off.

UEFA Qualification: 1st Round: Group B

Greece 1-1 Kosovo

The Greece side ensured a frustrating 1-1 draw with Kosovo at home. Giorgos Masouras gave the home side Greece the lead in the 44th minutes.

But Kosovo has other plans as they equalized in the 76th minute through Amir Rrahman.

Spain 1-0 Sweden

Spain earned an automatic qualification for Qatar 2022 joining Germany in the next year showpiece.

They beat Sweden 1-0 thanks to Alvaro Morata’s 86th minute cheeky finish after Daniel Olmo has hit the crossbar with a long-range strike in form of an assist.

UEFA Qualification: 1st Round: Group H

 Croatia 1-0 Russia

Croatia defeated Russia in a highly entertaining contest on Sunday night.

And it took only an own goal from Fedor Kudryashov to separate both sides in the contest. Their goal came in the 81st minute.

Malta 0-6 Slovenia

Slovenia wipe washed Malta 0-6 at home as the host continued their poor showing in the World Cup qualifiers.

Three quick goals from Albert Rusuak, Ondrej Duda and another finish from Albert Rusnak gave the visitors a resounding 3-0 lead in the 6th, 8th and 16th minutes respectively.

While further second half (three) goals from Ondrej Duda, Vemon De Marco and another effort from Ondrej Duda in the 69th, 72nd and 80th minutes secured a hammering 0-6 victory for Slovenia in the match.

Slovenia 2-1 Cyprus

Miha Zaje gave Slovenia the 1-0 lead in the 48th minute before Adam Gnezda made  it 2-0 in the 84th minute of the game.

However, Cyprus prove their own case with a consolatory goal in the 89th minute.

They got the only goal thanks to Andronikos Kakoult’s strike for Cyprus.

UEFA qualification: 1st Round: Group J

            Armenia 1-4 Germany

Chelsea playmaker Kai Havertz gave Germany a 15th minute lead via an assist from Jonas Hofmann.

However, Manchester City’s midfield man Gundogan Ikay made it 2-0 at the stroke of half time (45 + 4). Ikay Gundogan completed his brace in the 50th minute from Thomas Muller’s assist.

As Roma star Henrikh Mkhitaryan reduced the deficit to 1-3 via a penalty.

But Jonas Hofmann completed the scoring in the goal in the 64th minutes to make it 1-4 for the Germans.

Liechtenstein 0-2 Romania

Dennis man gave Romania an 8th minute lead over the host Liechtenstein as both sides competed within the 90 minutes duration.

Nicolase Stanciu missed an opportunity to double Romania is lead in the 35th minutes. However, the Romanians would not be denied a second goal as Nicusor Bancu scored in the 87th minute to seal a 2-0 min for Romania.

North Macedonia 3-1 Iceland

North Macedonia sealed a 3-1 win over Iceland in the World Cup qualifiers on last night.

Macedonia’ Ezgjan Alioski opening the scoring for his side in the 9th minutes. But Jon Thorsteinsson equalized for Iceland in the 54th minute to make it 1-1.

Eljif Elmas restored Macedonia’s lead (2) in the 65th minutes before he (Eijif) completed his brace in the 86the minutes to make it 3-1 for the North Macedonians.
