William Saliba Remained Coy On His Arsenal Return

William Saliba has remained coy on where he would be playing his football next season after been asked where he will playing in the future.

The Frenchman who is currently on loan at Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1, has established himself as key player under the tutelage of Jorge Sampaoli.

Saliba joined Arsenal in the summer of 2019 from Saint-Ettienne for £27m, but has spent the last two seasons out on loan and yet to make his debut for the North London outfit.

He returned to the French side for the reminder of the 2019-20 campaign, before also featuring for Nice in his homeland.

Saliba has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season, and has been a consistent performer at the heart of the defence for Marseille.

He refused to reveal where he will be playing next season after been asked by news outlet RTL in France.

“I prefer not to speak about my future, but I’m very good here. I don’t regret my decision. I have been very happy since day one.”

“I have one year here and I am going to give my all for the club.”

While Ben White and Gabriel has been the perfect partner for the Gunners under Arteta, Saliba does remain in the Spaniards plans as he revealed the club were keeping a close eye on him sending representatives to watch him play for Marseille.

Should the Frenchman continue to shine in Ligue 1, Arsenal might decide to bring him back to the Emirate Stadium in the future to partner the duo of White and Gabriel.
