Villarreal Star Chukuwueze Reaches A Major Milestone Against Rayo Vallecano

Villarreal and Super Eagles winger Sam Chukuwueze achieved a major milestone in his club career, after he made his 100 LaLiga Santander appearances in Yellow Submarine’s 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.

The Unai Emery led side brought their Champions League form down to the league displaying an impressive performance that gave them three point courtesy goals from Aissa Mandi and Gerrard Moreno.

The Nigeria international came off the bench in the 62nd minute for his ninth league game of the season and also his 100th appearances in the Spanish top-flight for the Yellow Submarine.

Chukuwueze has come long way since he made his debut in a home clash against Levente on November 11, 2018, but now the youngster has achieved a milestone for himself in club football.

The former Golden Eaglets nimble foot has been a key player for Villarreal, although he has only played sparingly this season after recovering from a six month layoff.

While Chukuwueze has achieved his 100 appearances for Villarreal, he started 52 of the games while he came as a substitute in the other 48 games.

He has scored 13 goals and registered ten assists in his 100 league games for Villarreal, and he will hope to continue delivering top notch performance for the Spanish side.
