UEFA Set To Block Qatari Takeover Of Manchester United

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

UEFA are considering blocking a potential takeover of Manchester United by Qatari investors.

The Glazer family are looking for over £5 billion to sell the club and require bids to be submitted by Friday.

Interest also comes from Saudi Arabia, an American group that went after Chelsea last year and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

If Qatar is successful with their offer they could blow these bidders out of the water due to their reported wealth of around £359bn.

However, UEFA may argue purchase would breach rules regarding influence over two clubs in the same competition, as their government already owns Paris Saint-Germain.

Human rights organisation FairSquare have written to UEFA asking them to block the deal citing queues that Qatar is not free and has a lack of political participation and rule of law in their assessment.
