The Nigeria Football Federation has praised the Flying Eagles for their performance against Dominican Republic on Sunday.

“We are happy with the three points though we wanted the boys to win by a higher margin as goals advantage do matter along the line in a competition such as this, NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi told thenff.com.

“The next two matches will be much tougher and I expect the Flying Eagles to also show sterner stuff.”

Ladan Bosso’s side occupy second position in Group B behind Italy who defeated Brazil 3-2 in their opening fixture.

The Flying Eagles will take on Italy in their next game on Wednesday.
