Watford FC has officially announced that William Troost-Ekong, the defender for the club, has been loaned to Salernitana in Serie A, Italy for the duration of the 2022/23 season.
There is an option to purchase him from Watford after his time at Salernitana is finished. Furthermore, an agreement has been made between the two clubs for a loan fee as well as a clause should Salernitana remain in Serie A.
He joined Watford in September 2020 from Udinese and since then has made 68 appearances and scored 2 goals in yellow.
This season alone he had 15 appearances and wore the armband 5 times – his most memorable goal being against Luton Town during Watford’s 4-0 defeat of them.
