Tottenham Hotspurs boss Antonio Conte is reportedly looking to make Eric Bailly his first signing since in January joining the club.

The North London club lost embarrassingly in the Europa Conference League to Slovenian minnows NS Mura, as such the Italian said he truly knows the task at hands at the club.

Conte wants to add more player to his squad especially with Romero out injured, and a significant investment is expected to be made to in order ensure their chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

According to report on the Transfer Window Podcast, the Manchester United centre back Bailly could be a player the London club could look to sign in January.

With Conte looking to strengthen his defence and the Ivorian also out of favor at United, it would make a lot of sense if Tottenham could sign him in January.

Since joining from Villarreal for a whopping £30m in 2016, the Ivorian has made 109 appearances for United but his injuries hasn’t really helped his cause at the club and he has been an unused substitute making just three appearances in all competitions.

The 27 year old will have to wait untill January should he desire to leave Manchester for London for a regular playing time under a new manager Antonio Conte.
