With the European qualifiers having generated much interest in the International break, we witnessed a couple of games that caught the eye as the case may be.

While certain players inspired their side to impressive wins via their respective groups.

Kylian Mbappe (France, PSG)

The French star was impressive for his side as they secured a maximum of six points against the Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland in the process.

And against the former above, Mbappe inspired his side with his brace as they would 4-0 on the night.

While the second was more magical as he walked through the opposition’s defence to finish in aplomb after some trickery moment he had in the Dutch’s defence for the goal.

Mateo Kovacic (Croatia, Chelsea)

The Chelsea playmaking star was at his usual best as he inspired Croatia to a massive three points away from home.

He was exceptional on the pitch when they played Turkey alongside Captain and Real Madrid star Luka Modric.

While he grabbed both goals in Croatia’s 0-2victory Turkiye. Kovacic scored both goals in the 20th and 45+4 minutes of the game.

Scott MC Tominay (Scotland, Manchester United)The Red Devils midfielder Scott MC Tominay produced the needful required of him as a top player when Scotland beat Spain 2-0 at home.

He was really decisive in the encounter as his pair of goals condemned the former World Champions Spain to a shock defeat in the EURO 2024 qualifying contest.

MC Tominay’s pair of goals came in the 7th and 51st minutes of the match.
