FIFA has announced that Canada, Mexico, and the USA have sealed their spots at the 2026 World Cup.
As hosts of the competition, these nations were awarded automatic qualification.
The tournament will also be larger than usual, with a field of 48 participating teams.
The three nations automatically qualify, leaving three slots available for CONCACAF teams to compete in the international tournament.
According to a statement released by FIFA, “the hosts of the FIFA World Cup 2026…will qualify automatically for the final round” and thus their place is deducted from CONCACAF’s six allocation spaces.
