Sergio Aguero offered new role at Manchester City

Former Argentine national team forward, Sergio Aguero has been offered a new role at Manchester City.

The 33-year old striker who is a legend at Etihad, having won 15 trophies with them and cemented his place as the club’s record scorer with 260 goals, is set to return to the club following his premature retirement as a footballer.

A heart condition he suffered in October forced him to retire from active football last week, denying him the opportunity to play longer period of time.

Barcelona and the Argentinean have since parted ways amicably.

Meanwhile, according to Spanish news outlet, Tribuna, quoting another publication, Ole, the Premiership League side has offered Aguero an opportunity to return to the club as a global football ambassador.

It’s left to be seen if the former Atlético Madrid forward will accept the role as he’s currently in Argentina with his family for the Yuletide celebrations and he hasn’t spoke about the offer.
