Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka will not feature for England in their World Cup qualifier against Andorra on Saturday at RCDE Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 BST.

According to the BBC Sport report, Saka was left out of the matchday squad after participating in only one full training session this week. Head coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed the winger’s absence is linked to fitness concerns. Saka has not yet played under Tuchel, having missed the manager’s first international camp due to injury.

Minor Injury Sends Watkins Home

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has also been ruled out of the Andorra fixture. He returned to England as a precaution after picking up a minor injury. Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher has been omitted from the squad as well, although it is still unclear if his absence is related to fitness.

England have made a strong start to their World Cup qualifying campaign, with two wins from two—defeating Latvia and Albania. Despite Saka’s 43 international caps, his involvement in the upcoming friendly against Senegal on 10 June remains uncertain.

Saka returned to action in April after missing three months with a hamstring injury. His exclusion this week raises questions about whether he will be fully fit for the rest of England’s international fixtures in June.

“He only trained once all week, so it didn’t make sense to take a risk,” said Thomas Tuchel on Friday.
