Real Madrid turns attention to Chelsea’s Kepa after failed move for Bounou

Real Madrid is reportedly in talks with Chelsea to sign goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan.

Real Madrid is reportedly in talks with Chelsea to sign goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan.

This comes after Thibaut Courtois suffered a serious injury and could potentially miss the entire season.

With Courtois out, Andriy Lunin is currently the only senior goalkeeper available for Real Madrid.

The club had initially hoped to sign Yassine Bounou from Sevilla, but the asking price of €30 million has led them to consider other options.

Kepa was previously a transfer target for Real Madrid in 2018, but the move was vetoed by coach Zinedine Zidane.

If Kepa does leave Chelsea, the club may need to sign another goalkeeper as backup.
