Pep Guardiola to Miss Man City’s Next Two Games After Back Surgery

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has undergone a routine back surgery and will be absent from the touchline for the team’s next two games.

The 52-year-old flew to Barcelona for the surgery, which was carried out by Dr Mireia Illueca.

Assistant coach Juanma Lillo will take charge of training and coaching duties in Guardiola’s absence.

The club expects Guardiola to return after the international break. Manchester City has had a successful start to the season, winning their first two Premier League matches and lifting the UEFA Super Cup.

Guardiola has been the manager of Manchester City for seven years and has won 15 trophies during his tenure.
