On Sunday, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen matched the impressive Serie A goal record set by football great and Liberia’s President George Weah.
The Nigerian striker, who plays for Napoli, scored a goal against Sampdoria in their 2-0 victory which puts him equal with Liberian President and football icon George Weah at 10 goals in three different seasons.
In addition to this impressive accomplishment, Osimhen also became the first player to reach 10 goals in Serie A this season.
Following his 19th-minute strike past Sampdoria’s keeper, Napoli managed to remain at their top spot on 44 points with seven ahead of Champions AC Milan.
