Paul Onuachu’s jersey sales broke records in the Belgian Pro League during a Christmas charity campaign, according to an announcement on Friday.

The fourteenth edition of the campaign raised 155,000 euros – 3,000 euros more than the previous year – and Onuachu’s jersey was among those that initiated the wave of shirt sales.

Club Brugge’s Simon Mignolet sold the most jerseys with 3,700 euros raised, followed by Mike Trésor (2,900 euros) and Onuachu (2,850 euros).

The impressive performance of the Nigerian forward has made him more desirable to teams who are looking to sign him due to his 13 goals in 15 league games thus far which allows him to hold top spot on the scoring chart – two goals ahead of Mario González from Oud-Heverlee Leuven.
