Henry Offia’s first half strike was not enough to help his Trelleborg side escape defeat in the hands of Vasalunds.
The former Nigeria U20 international took his tally to five goals in the Swedish Superettan this season after scoring in the first half of the all important tie.
Offia and his Trelleborg team lined up against, Vasalunds, with the sole aim of bouncing back to winning ways after a (3-1) defeat away against, Akropolis last time out.
Just when it seemed like the hosts would win their first match in three attempts, after Offia’s goal, Vasalunds responded in a fantastic style and handed Trelleborg their third defeat on the trot.
At exactly 12th minute, former Nigeria U20 star, Offia Henry came through for his side with an exquisite goal which restored parity between the two sides after Nikola Vasic had gotten Vasalunds’ lead earlier.
And for the second time on the afternoon, precisely 36th minute, Trelleborg fell again when Peshraw Azizi nicely netted a sumptuous assist from Takuto Yasuoka.
The visitors did well to prevent a possible equalizer from Trelleborg in the second forty-five till the final whistle was blown, making the visitors run away with a big win away from home.
