Akwa United head coach, Kennedy Boboye has berated his side for losing concentration in the final minutes of their matchday two tie of the 2021-2022 NPFL season against Shooting Stars on Sunday.

Utibe Archibong had given the visitors the lead after 29th minutes in the exhilarating encounter and held on to the lead before Ayo Adejubu rescued a point for Shooting Stars with a late equalizer.

Boboye while giving his assessment on the tie, berated his team’s lack of concentration in the final minutes and noted that the goal was a stupid one.

“We played very well but we conceded a stupid goal due to lack of concentration from my players.” Boboye said.

On the Nigeria Professional Football League table, Remo Stars and Enyimba currently occupied first and second position respectively with six points.

The defending champions, Akwa United, are on third position with four points while Shooting Stars are on 15th position with two points after matchday two.
