Organizers of the NPFL, LMC, has announced December 17 2021 as the kickoff date for the 2021-2022 season, and also released the week one fixture for the season.
The matchday one of the new season will see reigning champions Akwa United welcome Kano Pillars, while Plateau United welcome Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan to the Patanmi stadium in Gombe.
Another matchday one fixture will see Kwara United welcome Dakkada in Ilorin, while the Olukoya boys MFM FC will host regional rivals Remo Stars at the Agege Stadium.
