Moises Caicedo’s absence from Brighton’s pre-season squad raises questions

Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo will not be participating in the team’s final pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano.

This absence has raised questions about his future, as he has been the subject of transfer speculation and is reportedly wanted by Chelsea.

Brighton has received a bid of £80m for Caicedo, but they are holding out for £100m.

While Caicedo is said to want to leave this transfer window, Brighton expects him to stay as they believe no club will meet their valuation.

Caicedo has been given the weekend off to focus on the Premier League opener against Luton Town.

His exclusion from the squad for the Rayo Vallecano match only adds to the speculation surrounding his future.
