Match Day 17;three key games to watch in the Premier League
The EPL returns as a host of key games are lined up in the Premier League. Chelsea and Arsenal have a huge task to overcome this midweek.
Even as Manchester City would need to buckle up to maintain their place in the Premier League summit.
Liverpool would expectedly look to Mo Salah and Diogo Jota for inspiration as we expect another intriguing round of games on the English scene.
Here Isagoal.com evaluates the three (3) key games to watch in the EPL.
Arsenal vs. West Ham United
The Gunners would test their steel against David Moyes’s men at home as hostility ensues between both sides.
It promises to be an intriguing match to behold at the Emirates Stadium in midweek as Arsenal look to see if they can answer the puzzle West Ham would bring their way in this match.
The West Ham United side have been in terrific form this term thanks to the amazing work David Moyes has done at the club.
The big question is could Arsenal be their prey in this match? This would be a huge one for Arsenal to answer as the game beckons in earnest.
Leicester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur
The home side would hope to get it right when they play Antonio Conte’s men at the King Power Stadium.
It would be a battle for European places as Spurs are in 7th place three points above Leicester City going into this match.
The Londoners have a goal difference of -1 as compared to Leicester’s goal difference of 0 ahead of this match. And with Leicester in top form after triumphing 4-0 against Newcastle United.
Much will be expected from the game even as the two managers (Rodgers and Conte) go toe-toe against each other in this contest.
Chelsea vs. Everton
The game is coming hard for Chelsea now with a match against Everton slate from Thursday.
The same would be the case of Rafael Benitez’s side Everton whose side need a turnaround in fortune. Beating Arsenal 2-1 at home (Goodison Park) may have done a bit for Everton.
But they need a drastic improvement on the pitch based on the class of players they’ve got in their rank.
But against Chelsea, it may be a wrong time to achieve this even as Thomas Tuchel and his side are currently facing a tough time in recent weeks though they are third behind Manchester City and Liverpool on the standing.
