Manchester United’s Obi-Martin Poised for Ligue 1 Loan Transfer

Chido Obi-Martin, the promising Danish-Nigerian forward, looks set to link up with Terem Moffi at Nice as Man Utd consider a loan move this summer

Chido Obi-Martin might soon swap Manchester United’s colors for OGC Nice on a season-long loan, adding firepower to the Ligue 1 side’s attack—www.isagoal.com reports.

According to report, the 17-year-old attacker is in talks to join Nice, where he would team up with Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi.

Obi-Martin made a bold move by leaving Arsenal last year, turning down Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund to join United’s academy.

His impact was immediate, scoring a hat-trick on his U18 debut and making his senior debut against Tottenham in February 2025.

Before leaving Arsenal, he racked up 32 goals in 18 U18 Premier League games, including double-digit goals against Liverpool’s U16s.

Born in Denmark to Nigerian parents, he has played extensively for Denmark’s youth teams but remains eligible for Nigeria and England.

A loan to Nice would not only boost his playing time but also link two Nigerian talents under the INEOS ownership, potentially strengthening Nice’s frontline.

This move could open doors for Obi-Martin’s future international career and provide valuable Ligue 1 experience.
