Manchester United are facing mounting commercial pressure following the expiry of multiple key sponsorship deals, with their new training kit launching without a headline sponsor, IsaGoal can report.
As reported by Football Insider, United’s lucrative agreement with blockchain platform Tezos ended in June, leaving the club without a training kit sponsor for the 2025-26 season.
That deal was reportedly worth £20 million annually.
Despite traditionally securing strong uplifts with new commercial partners, sources claim it is “surprising” that the Red Devils have yet to replace Tezos ahead of pre-season.
This situation adds to a broader trend of sponsorship uncertainty across the Premier League.
Chelsea also remain without a front-of-shirt sponsor after going most of last season without one.
United’s commercial blow deepens after Adidas imposed a £10 million deduction on their £90 million-a-year kit deal due to failure to qualify for the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.
Ruben Amorim’s side finished 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham, triggering performance-related penalties across several commercial deals.
In another setback, Marriott International, the world’s largest hotel company, also chose not to renew its sponsorship contract with United, which was believed to be worth £7 million per year.
Despite posting a record £661.8 million in revenue last season, United’s commercial income—£302.9 million of that figure—now faces key gaps heading into 2025-26.
