Manchester City has reignited their interest in signing Bradley Barcola from Lyon.
The club has been in contact with Lyon to discuss the potential transfer of the versatile attacker.
Although no bid has been made yet, Man City has been scouting Barcola throughout the previous season and sees him as a potential reinforcement for their squad.
Lyon still has Barcola under contract until 2026, but their resolve may be tested by Man City’s interest.
At only 20 years old, Barcola had a breakout season last year, scoring his first goals at the senior level.
A move to Man City would offer him the opportunity to compete in the Champions League.
However, it remains to be seen if he would immediately secure a spot in the starting lineup of such a strong squad.
Playing in the Premier League would also present a new challenge for the French under-21 international, who has spent his entire career with Lyon so far.
