Silva Criticizes Man City’s Lack of Warriors This Season

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Bernardo Silva has expressed his frustration with Manchester City’s lack of hunger and fight this season, following their FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace, a result that left them without silverware. The loss, combined with an underwhelming season, has brought to light concerns about the team’s mentality and their inability to rise to challenges.

According to Richard Jolly’s report for the Independent, Silva’s words reflect deeper issues within the squad—issues of complacency, loss of desire, and, perhaps, an absence of “warriors” in key moments.

“You learn a lot of new things,” said Silva. “In the bad moments you learn new things. Who you can go to war with, first of all. Because it’s in the bad moments that you see who the real ones are.”

As the club faces its worst season since 2016-17, Silva’s candid comments underscore a growing concern: that success has softened some players, leaving them ill-prepared for the grit needed to maintain City’s elite level.

Silva, along with teammates Ruben Dias and Erling Haaland, has acknowledged this loss of hunger.

While City has long been accustomed to winning, this season’s setbacks against clubs like Bournemouth and Brighton have shown that City’s rivals have found ways to challenge them, blending skill with resilience.

With key players like Kevin De Bruyne departing, Silva also hinted at potential personnel changes to reinvigorate the squad. Injuries and aging players have further contributed to the decline in performance, making Silva’s call for “warriors” even more pressing.

While the younger signings, like Josko Gvardiol, have shown promise, City’s failure to perform at their usual high standard has placed a heavy burden on the shoulders of those players expected to lead.

Despite the team’s disappointing season, Silva expressed his commitment to stay and fight for a return to City’s dominant form. He stated, “Something has to change next year… but definitely something needs to change when you don’t perform at this level.” His determination to raise the club’s standards once again reflects the urgency to return to the heights of previous years.

For Manchester City to return to their winning ways, they will need to address the issues of complacency, maintain a high level of intensity, and introduce more players who are ready to fight for the cause. It’s clear that in Silva’s view, more “warriors” are needed.
