Liverpool to Break Record with £87m Move for Wirtz This Summer

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Liverpool are still very much in the running to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz this summer, despite fierce competition from Premier League giants Manchester City. The 21-year-old German international has been attracting attention from top European clubs, with Manchester City and Bayern Munich considered to be leading the race for his signature.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey, Wirtz’s impressive performances have earned him the reputation of being “the best No.10 in world football.” While Bayern and City are at the front of the queue, Wirtz has not yet made any public indication about preferring one club over another or whether he plans to stay at Leverkusen, where his contract runs until June 2027.

A move for the midfielder is expected to cost around £87m, making him Liverpool’s most expensive signing to date, surpassing the £85m they spent on Darwin Núñez in 2022. Despite the high asking price, Liverpool remain keen on acquiring Wirtz, who has had an outstanding season with Leverkusen, scoring 15 goals and contributing 13 assists in 39 appearances.

Wirtz’s rise to prominence has not gone unnoticed by several top clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, and Real Madrid, all of whom are reportedly keeping tabs on his situation. His exceptional ability to create and score goals has made him a standout performer in the Bundesliga, particularly during Leverkusen’s strong season.

Liverpool are preparing for another busy summer under manager Arne Slot. A new No.9 is reportedly a priority, especially with uncertainty surrounding Darwin Núñez’s future at the club. The Uruguayan forward is reportedly attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia following January’s transfer window.
