Jurgen Klopp Declares Ideal Size Liverpool Squad
Jurgen Klopp believes that Liverpool currently have the ideal-sized squad when it comes to midfielders.
The Reds’ fortunes in this area of the field have been a source of difficulty this season, with them currently 9th in the Premier League and heading into an FA Cup meeting away at Brighton on Sunday, just two week after being thrashed 3-0 when they last went there.
Although Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita and 18-year-old Stillian Bajceticstarted in their past two matches, the likes of Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Fabinho, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott are all fit for their latest trip.
Klopp is satisfied with his available options and hopes to be able to select from these potential starters without recourse to making “mistakes” with line ups.
With no less than seven midfielders in top shape he says this is a “perfect situation”.
