Ighalo bags player of the month award

Odion Ighalo has bagged the West Asia player of the month award for the month of October 2021.

The former Manchester United striker who has been called up to the Super Eagles two years after he retired from international football recorded impressive performances for his Saudi Arabia club, Al-Shabab in October.

Ighalo, 32, netted four goals in October and a cumulative of 9 goals in 11 appearances this term. His impressive performance areas so far earned him the player of the month courtesy of the White Lions’ fans.

The announcement was made on the club’s Instagram page by the Riyadh based club and that has caused a huge engagement from the fans of the club and Ighalo’s fans from all over the world.

Having hung his both two years back, Ighalo was named in Nigeria’s list of invited players ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Liberia and Cape Verde in the final group games.
