I Never Said I Won’t Honour Super Eagles’ AFCON Invitation – Dennis

Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis has debunked reports circulating in the media that he will not honour an invitation to play for the team at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The report further claimed that Dennis turned down the request by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to be included in the pool of players for the AFCON as he’d rather stay back in England to help the Hornets in the Premier League.

The Nigerian international, who is enjoying the best of his campaign in the Premier League For Watford, said in an interview with Guardian that he’s aware of such reports.

He noted that the reports was fake and an attempt to tarnish his image. He said that he will be delighted to be part of the Super eagles squad for the fast approaching AFCON tournament.

“This is fake news; very false report. I never said such.

“The news is a fabrication by the website and it is totally untrue.”
