In the African region the World Cup qualifier was in the mix as sides like Kenya and Togo took to the pitch against their varying counterpart.
It was another game of football to watch out for in the CAF hemisphere as we witnessed some result based on some teams who made the most of their outing in the continent.

World Cup-CAF Qualification: 2nd Round: Group A
Niger Republic 7-2 Djibouti
Niger Republic mauled whipping boys Djibouti 7-2 at home with V. Adebayor opening the scoring in the 14th minutes for Niger.
While Y. A. Ahmed equalized for Djibouti in the 33rd minute. Adebayor regained the lead for Niger in the 36th minutes to make it 2 – 1 at half time.
After the intermission A. Wonkoye scored to make it 3-1 in the 62nd minutes with D. Sosah making it 4-1 two minutes later.
Man of the moment Adebayor made it 5-1 with his hat-trick in the 75th minutes but Y-S. Isman reduced the deficit in the 84th minute to make it 5-2 for Djibouti.
But I. Djibrilla hit a brace in space of two minutes (85th minute and 87th minutes) to make it 6-2 and 7-2 respectively for Niger.
World Cup-CAF qualification: 2nd Round Group E
Kenya 2-1 Rwanda
Kenya’s Michael Olunga gave his side an early 2 minutes lead in the contest before a 15th minute penalty from R. Odada condemned Rwanda to two goal deficit.
However, a second half goal by O.Niyonzima reduced the deficit to 2-1 as it proved to be a worthy consolation for the Rwandans. The goal came in the 66th minutes.
World Cup-CAF Qualification 2nd Round; Group H
Namibia 0-1 Togo
Togo sealed an impressive 0-1 away win at Namibia. It took a late 88th minute goal to secure the win for the Togolese side away from home. The goals was scored by E. Fessou.
WORLD CUP – CAF Qualification: 2nd Round: Group 1
Guinea Bissau 0-0 Sudan
It’s a day match bereft of any goal scored as these two lowly rated side drew goalless in the World Cup qualifiers.
It finished 0 – 0 between the home side, Guinea-Bissau and visitors Sudan, while Sudan’s Mrs. Ahmed was booked in 47 minutes.
