He could have won the game eventually for Ghana but the woodwork came to Angola’s rescue even with the keeper beaten in his goalpost.
In Group FNiger Republic 0-1 Algeria
Niger Republic lost 0-1 to former African Champions Algeria as both sides squared off in the return leg of the encounter.
An early goal secured the win for Algeria courtesy of Baghdad Bounedjah’s effort.
As Algeria sealed their place in next year’s AFCON showpiece in Ivory Coast via a 6th-minute goal.
In Group G
South Sudan 0-1 Congo
The Congolese side brightened their chances of making it through this group with a 0 -1 away win over South Sudan.

In Group I
Sudan 1-0 Gabon
Sudan claimed a vital 1-0 home win against Gabon in the qualifying series.
