Fabrizio Romano (via Caught Offside) reports that Real Betis, Barcelona defender Hector Bellerin’s former club, is in the market for his services this January transfer window.
Despite a successful loan season with Los Verdiblancos and Copa del Rey win last summer, Bellerin has endured a difficult 2020-21 under Xavi Hernandez’ reign with only seven appearances over all competitions.
This has seen interest from Premier League teams such as Fulham and Everton; however, the Spaniard has rejected any thought of a return.
Romano remarks that although Bellerin would agree to a return to Betis, Barcelona have yet to give their ‘green light’.
With Xavi contentment on the current squad line-up and involved in three competitions, it remains to be seen if they are willing to let go of their full-back before the end of the window.
