Graham Potter confirms interest in becoming Chelsea’s new manager

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

According to sources, Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter has agreed to take charge of Chelsea following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.

The 47-year-old opened talks with Chelsea on Wednesday and it is believed that he verbally agreed to take charge and shook hands on the deal, with paperwork now being drawn up.

Isagoal understands that Chelsea want the deal completed on Thursday so barring any issues, Potter will take charge ahead of this weekend’s derby clash with Fulham.

Potter was always first choice for Chelesa, and such has been the impression he has made on Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly and the rest of the club’s hierarchy following their first meeting, they knew they had their man.

The likes of Zinedine Zidane, Diego Simeone and Ruben Amorim were among those who had been discussed, but the other real contender had been Mauricio Pochettino – out of work since leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

But Potter impressed so much during talks that Boehly and the rest of the board were satisfied with their first choice and was offered the job within hours of meeting.

Brighton, who have a release clause in place for Potter, have begun their own search for a replacement.
