Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will square off against Zambia’s Junior Chipolopolo in a two-game friendly series at the Nigerian capital of Abuja.

The tour was initiated by the Nigeria Football Federation on January 13th, which was subsequently accepted by the Football Association of Zambia on the 14th via a letter from Adrian Kashala, FAZ’ General Secretary.

The NFF will cover the Zambian delegation’s accommodation and other related logistics, while FAZ will fly their team to Nigeria for the games, scheduled for Friday 27th and Monday 30th of January.

Boasting 10 goals from 2 friendlies since resuming preparations for this year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations, which takes place 19th February – 11th March, Flying Eagles have been placed into Group A with Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique.

Meanwhile, Zambia have drawn Tunisia, Benin Republic and The Gambia in Group C; Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Congo make up Group B. Only four semi-finalists from Egypt qualify to participate at Indonesia’s 23rd FIFA U20 World Cup 20th May -11 June.
