FA’s punishment dangles on Rangnick’s head

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Manchester United interim boss, Ralf Rangnick could find himself in hot water following his intervention on the brawl late on during United’s clash with Leeds United at Elland Road.

Rangnick made his way onto the playing pitch to intervene as players from both teams clashed in the latter part of the game on Sunday.

While United were leading by 4-2 after Anthony Elanga struck late in the game, a mistimed challenge very close to the sideline saw things almost went awry.

With both sets of players coming together, Rangnick made his way onto the playing surface to try separate the players.

However, it appears his intervention would attract a fine from the FA for the German tactician having flouted the rule which restricts managers from entering the playing picth when a game is ongoing.

Former Premier League referee, Keith Hackett explained to Football Insider that the United boss could face a fine for his actions should the FA choose to punish him.

Hackett further noted that even though he (Rangnick) had good intentions, he should’ve stayed put in his technical area.

“I can remember in the 2007 Carling Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea in stoppage time there were three red cards given,” Hackett said.

“In that melee, both Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger came on the pitch and both were fined.”

“While Rangnick may have good intentions, he had to stay off the pitch. The technical area is for him.”

“The FA have now got to do one of two things. They can send him a letter reminding him of his responsibilities within law or issue him a fine.”

“He has good intentions but you can’t do it. I get more and more convinced managers shouldn’t be allowed on the pitch even at the end of a game.”

In most countries, managers don’t come on but they do in England. It’s a trend that is one that shouldn’t happen.”
