Genk coach John van den Brom will be banking on Paul Onuachu to deliver the goods when his side host Premier League club West Ham United in their Europa League clash at the Cegeka Arena on Thursday night (today).

Genk are bottom of Group H with a paltry three points from their opening three games.

The Smurfs have also failed to register a win at home in their last seven home games in Europe, with two draws and five defeats.

The Belgian Pro League side lost 3-0 in the first tie at the London Stadium.

However, they’ve scored six goals each in their last two games, six away to Saint Eloois in the Belgian Cup, and six away to Waregem in the Belgium Jupiler League.

Onuachu ended his five-game goal drought, registering a goal against Waregem last weekend.

Van den Brom is confident the big striker can help his team record an important victory against the Hammers.

“First of all, it’s very important that paul score for himself, and he already scored 10 goals for us this season,”the gaffer told a news conference on Wednesday.

“All the goals, that he made for us are very important also for the team, for the club, for the supporters and for me as a coach, and I was very happy for him and also for the team that he scored last Sunday. I hope that he will continue that tomorrow.”

West Ham top group with nine points, after three wins from their last three games. They are yet to concede a goal as well.
