Eden Hazard opens up on fractured relationship with Ancelotti amid Real Madrid plight
Eden Hazard has made it clear that his relationship with Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has broken down completely.
This comes at a time when there is lots of speculation surrounding Hazard’s future in the Spanish capital – after being signed from Chelsea in 2019 with an initial £89m fee and add-ons potentially reaching £150m.
Despite this huge investment, Hazard has been unable to reproduce his exceptional form at Chelsea and has only managed 7 appearances for Madrid this season, scoring once and providing one assist.
Madrid are reportedly keen to move him on this summer due to the large wages he earns (£416,000 per week).
Nevertheless, Hazard said that he would like to stay and ‘show that he can still do it’, but clarified that he no longer speaks with Ancelotti as part of their professional relationship; “I have to have respect a guy like Ancelotti. For what he represents for football, and for what he’s done in his career.”
