Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi arrives Ibadan for possible collabo with Shooting Stars

On Boxing Day, friends, family and fans of Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi were delighted to welcome him on a recent visit home to Ibadan, Oyo State.

The 20-year-old Nigerian-German professional footballer, along with Borussia Dortmund’s forward enjoyed his homecoming in style by attending the Olubadan Stadium for a novelty match between his team Adeyemi FC and Nigeria Professional Football League side 3SC.

Much excitement was stirred amongst supporters at the stadium as they took plenty of pictures with their hero and shared updates about his visit on social media.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of 3SC.

A sports writer, Jide Taiwo tweeted, “Karim Adeyemi in Nigeria at Oluilbadan stadium Oyo state  as his team Adeyemi FC take on Shooting stars FC.”

Karim Adeyemi was born to a Nigerian father and Romanian mother, but decided to represent Germany on the international stage.

Adeyemi recently took part in an exhibition match organised by his own NGO, Karim Adeyemi Foundation.

Unfortunately, his national team suffered an early exit from the World Cup in Qatar after failing to progress through the group stage of the tournament.
