Former England and Chelsea winger Joe Cole has likened West Ham’s midfielder Declan Rice to Steven Gerrard.
Cole laud the display of the West Ham star by insisting the sky is the limit for the midfielder, following his brilliant performances for the Hammers this season under Moyes.
Rice has gone from strength to strength for the London club over the past 12 months and has spearheaded Moyes’ side up the league table, where they sit in third after 11 league games.
Cole while speaking on talkSport, he echoed the sentiments of Glen Hoddle who also likened Rice to Gerrard and the current best player in the league.
“I’ve watched Declan develop over the years. He’s a little bit like and I don’t want to put this kind of pressure on him, but he’s a little bit like how Steven Gerrard developed at Liverpool where he just kept adding things to his game, adding things, and adding things.”
