Arsenal have reached an agreement with Brentford for the transfer of goalkeeper David Raya in a deal worth approximately £30m.
Raya, a long-term target for Arsenal, will join the club ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Spanish international had attracted interest from other clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Chelsea, but Arsenal were able to secure his signature.
Raya’s arrival will provide competition for current Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and further strengthen the team’s squad.
Arsenal are also looking to sell other players to offset their summer spending and have rejected an offer from Monaco for striker Folarin Balogun.
In the meantime, Brentford has made a bid of around £25m for Fiorentina’s Nico González.
