Crystal Palace Sack Patrick Vieira After Winless 2023 Season
Crystal Palace have sacked manager Patrick Vieira.
The Frenchman had been the Eagles’ boss since July 2021, but with the club winless in 2023 and stuck in a relegation battle, they felt that a change was needed to give them the best chance of staying in the Premier League.
Club chairman Steve Parish spoke highly of Vieira’s impact on the club and thanked him for his service. Palace are now looking for a new manager ahead of their trip to leaders Arsenal this weekend.
It has been a very poor year so far for Palace who are still without a win since beating Bournemouth on New Year’s Eve and have suffered 11 straight defeats in the Premier League.
Wednesday night’s loss to rivals Brighton proved to be Vieira’s last game as Palace boss, having managed only 72 games at Selhurst Park.
